Deep Sea Scuba is proud to be offering Fishing Trips. We have a very experienced captains They have many years of experience and know the waters here in Islamorada.. Our fishing trips consist of either a Reef fishing excursion or a Trolling excursion. We offer 1/2 day trips only. Our morning trip starts at 7 am until 11 am. Our afternoon trip is from 1 pm until 5 pm. We will also fillet your catch.
The Florida Keys are home to some of the most impressive reefs in the U.S. In fact, The Florida Keys Reef Tract is the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States..This coral reef system supports more than 40 reef-building species of corals. These corals provide shelter, sustenance, and breeding grounds for millions of plant and animal species, making Islamorada a popular destination for anglers around the world.
With so many wrecks and rocky outcrops within easy reach of land, there’s no shortage of fish to be caught. There are a variety of snapper and grouper. Different types of mackerel. However, during the winter months Sailfish and other pelagic fish are abundant. Wahoo and cobia are common, as are Mahi Mahi and blackfin tuna. This trip is for everyone, from seasoned pros looking for trophy fish to families out for a day of fun!!

Our regular tour starts at Deep Sea Scuba in Islamorada at Mile Marker 80.4, down the coast to Bud and Mary’s channel, over to the bay side through the mangroves passing many fishermen, historical landmarks and an abundance of wildlife.
Indian Key Historic State Park is only accessible by boat. Immerse yourself in the long ago ways of the wrecking industry. In 1836, Indian Key became the first county seat for Dade County. At that time, this tiny island was the site of a lucrative business-salvaging cargo from shipwrecks in the Florida Keys. This 11-acre island is deserted except for the ruins of a town that existed in the early 1800’s. Effective Sept. 29, 2021: Indian Key Historic State Park is accessible only via kayak launch. The boat ramp at Indian Key Fill is closed due to storm damage. The observation tower is also closed.
Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park is also only accessible by boat. The virgin tropical hardwood hammock that thrives on this island was once common on most of Florida’s Upper Keys; most of these forests have been lost to development on other islands. In 1919, William J. Matheson, a wealthy Miami chemist, bought this tiny island and built a caretaker’s home with a windmill for electricity and a cistern for rainwater.
